Storing, not driving? A delivered cold trailer beats a truck rental · (828) 713-4303
Refrigerated truck rental · The honest answer

Looking for a refrigerated truck rental? You may need a trailer.

We do not rent refrigerated trucks. If you need to drive product from one place to another, a truck rental company is the right call. If you need to keep product cold in one place, for an event, an outage or a busy season, a refrigerated trailer we deliver and set up is usually the easier rental.

The honest test: are you moving product, or storing it?

Most people who search for a refrigerated or freezer truck rental need one of two things. If the job is to move product from a supplier to a store, rent a truck. If the job is to keep product cold where you are, at a venue, behind a kitchen, at a market or through a power outage, a refrigerated trailer that stays parked and plugged in is built for exactly that.

Why storing product in a truck is harder than it looks

  • It has to be driven. Someone has to pick it up, drive it and return it, and many larger refrigerated trucks need a commercial license.
  • The cold usually runs on fuel. Most truck refrigeration runs on diesel, so parking one for a weekend means fuel, engine noise and exhaust next to your guests or your back door.
  • The floor is high. A truck box sits well above the ground, so every case goes up a ramp or a liftgate.
  • It is priced to travel. Mileage and fuel are built into truck rentals. A parked trailer has none.

What a delivered refrigerated trailer gives you instead

  • We bring it and set it up. Placement, leveling, a power check and bringing the unit to temperature are included, and we pick it up at the end.
  • It plugs into standard power. All-electric, no diesel, no idling, quiet enough to sit beside a tent or a dining room.
  • You walk in at ground level. One step up, shelving available, hand trucks roll straight in.
  • Cooler or freezer. Most units switch between the two, so one rental covers produce today and frozen stock next week.
  • A 2-day minimum. Then day, week and month rates, so a weekend or a month both price fairly.

Freezer truck rental, same answer

If you searched for a freezer truck because a walk-in freezer failed or an event needs frozen space, a freezer trailer holds product solid without a driver or a fuel bill. When you really do need a truck

If your product has to travel, between a farm and a market, a commissary and several sites, or a supplier and a store, a refrigerated truck is the right tool and we will say so on the phone. Plenty of customers do both: they rent a truck for the drive and park one of our trailers at the destination as the cold room.

Truck or trailer questions

Do you rent refrigerated trucks or freezer trucks?+
No. We rent refrigerated and freezer trailers that we deliver, set up and pick up. If you need to transport product, rent a truck. If you need to keep product cold where you are, a trailer is usually the simpler rental, and we will tell you honestly which one fits your job.
Is a refrigerated trailer cheaper than a refrigerated truck?+
For storing product in one place, usually: there is no driver, no fuel and no mileage, and our trailers start at $139 a day on a 2-day minimum with lower week and month rates. Delivery and setup start at $120 and are priced by distance. Call (828) 713-4303 with your dates for an exact number.
Do I need a CDL or a truck to move the trailer?+
No. We deliver, place, level and set up every trailer, and we pick it up when you are done. You never tow it.
Can a trailer hold frozen product like a freezer truck?+
Yes. Most units in our fleet switch to a freezer that holds frozen product solid. Tell us the temperature your product needs and we set the unit before it leaves the yard.
What power does the trailer need?+
Standard electricity, no diesel. 110-volt units use a dedicated 20-amp connection; 220-volt units need a 30-amp connection. No power on site? We can refer a generator and help you size it.
